A typical 1975, hard, astringent, promising, but obnoxiously backward and tannic, this wine has remained closed and slightly dumb, but exhibits very good color, a hint of ripe, cedary, plummy fruit in its nose, and adequate weight and length in the finish. The fruit continues to take a back seat to the tannins. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 3/88.
