Paloumey

The 2014 Paloumey has a modest bouquet, clean and fresh but the brambly, tarry fruit is missing some intensity and presence. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet entry but underneath lie some quite firm tannin. It builds nicely towards the tobacco-stained finish and shows greater harmony than I predicted from barrel last year. One to watch as this may continue to improve. Tasted September 2016.
