The 1988 falls short of my expectations for this property’s wines. It has a moderately deep ruby color, noticeable tannin, and a tart, lean, austere, herbaceous character that is followed by a light, surprisingly short finish. Anticipated maturity: Now-1997. Last tasted, 5/93.
